Introduction

What is Vacuum? Vacuum is the term for air pressures which lie below normal atmospheric pressure. The vacuum values used depend on the specific application. For vacuum handling, relatively low vacuum values are sufficient. These values lie in the range between 100 mbar (absolute) and atmospheric pressure (1013 mbar).
