Innospann Steel-Plate-T is a further development of the standard Steel-Plate system. By incorporating magnetically activated valves into the steel plate, it is no longer necessary to manually seal unused vacuum apertures with a magnet plug – the seals self-activate!

The steel plate is precision-ground 3mm magnetic stainless-steel with a grid pattern laser-etched on the top surface to aid positioning of vacuum blocks.

The steel plate is available in two different versions:
• With 75mm x 75mm grid spacing to suit mono-base type vacuum blocks.
• With 150mm x 150mm grid spacing to suit quad-base type vacuum blocks.

The vacuum blocks can be freely positioned and oriented on the steel plate to suit the workpiece to be machined. Vacuum apertures beneath the vacuum block are automatically opened using a magnet incorporated into the underside of the vacuum block.

Innospann Steel-Plate is suitable for the flexible upgrade of all machine with smooth, grid or console tables. In the case of grid tables, the steel plate can be mounted directly in the slots of the table. For smooth tables there are two alternatives: slots can be machined directly into the wooden table or (similar to the solution for console tables) a separate intermediate plate made of wood or phenolic can be produced to order and mounted on the existing table.
